Digital products. Our books, workbooks, journals, and guides are digital PDF products delivered by email. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to download, print, and use them for your own sewing. It does not permit re-selling, re-publishing, sharing files publicly, or distributing copies — each purchase supports one household.

Intellectual property. All content, design, and branding on this site and in the books belongs to The Sewing Haven and is protected by copyright. Brand and machine names mentioned (Janome, Bernina, Brother, and others) belong to their respective owners and are used for reference only.

Educational content — your manual is the final authority. Everything we publish is general education about how sewing machines work. Machines vary widely between models; your machine’s owner’s manual is always the final authority on its care, oiling points, and serviceable parts. Where our content differs from your manual, follow your manual. Performing maintenance carries inherent risk of injury and equipment damage; by using our content you accept full responsibility for your own safety and results, and The Sewing Haven disclaims liability for loss, injury, or damage arising from its use. Work beyond routine owner maintenance belongs with a qualified technician.
